We try to bring fun, long-term, adventurous support to the lives of the families we serve.
About
We are Non-Political,
Non-Denominational,
and Non-Profit, and serve the young men and women who have lost a parent in the US Military and First Responders.
In 2000 we got our start as Children of Fallen Soldiers, and in 2013 began rebranding to America’s Children of Fallen Heroes in order to better include the families of our fallen firefighters and law enforcement.

Our History
Our visit Chaplain TIG’s site dream was to fly, and was headed to the Air Force Academy. However, in 1989, a MEPS flight surgeon discovered his heart problem and life took him down a different road.
In 1996, he started Quietly Working, a creative agency that would open the door to serve.
“After having the honor of speaking with a couple two star generals, I was crushed to learn about the massive cracks in our government support system that our military widows and their children were falling through. We immediately began planning how to help. And I guess the rest is history.”
– Chaplain TIG
In 2000, we began the launch of Children of Fallen Soldiers. Starting with appreciation events, gift drops, and domestic support projects.
The smartest thing we did was to develop an advisory board of widows to determine what was helping and what wasn’t.
What we very quickly learned, is that the big impressive looking events didn’t do much to help. In fact, in many cases, they created additional stress and pain. What the widows DID want, was some type of long-term mentorship for their children. …and that’s been our ongoing dream.
In 2012, we began rebranding to America’s Children of Fallen Heroes, so we could include Fallen Firefighters and Law Enforcement under our umbrella of services.
On March 25th, 2013 our founder died.
He was dead for nearly seven minutes before a combat Marine brought him back to life. That experience had a profound effect on the direction and pace of our work. His three kids were soon all grown up and out of the house, so was soon able to focus 100% on building the Dream Development Project.
Although we had begun designing a long-term mentorship program over a decade ago, it wasn’t until 2015 that it would be given a name, the Dream Development Project, and in 2016 we began to pilot program.
In 2015, we built Double Dog…
…our national tour rig, to create spectacular adventures for our young men and women, and to get them into the great outdoors. We’ve seen firsthand, how getting young men and women into nature… into an adventure… has opened their minds and hearts to the bright possibilities of their future.
Now, on to the future!
Vision for the Future
There’s no way to replace a parent, but our audacious goal is to provide the mentorship and long-term support that every parent desires for their children.
We envision having active chapters across the country, providing the boots-on-the-ground support for our Dream Development Project, and empowering us to reach all the communities where our families work and live.
When we expanded our services to fallen firefighters and law enforcement, we greatly under-estimated the need. One of the challenges we have been facing is how to expand our services at a rate that allows us to continue the hight level of service our families deserve. One of our answers to this our Jeep’n For The Kids series.
The Jeep’n For The Kids series is helping us develop close relationships within local communities, which provides the volunteers, financial support, local youth service org relationships, and community leader involvement needed for a strong local chapter.
As we develop a strong nationwide family, we will be able to provide the healthy network of support our families deserve to recognize, build, and live their dreams.
